At a recent wedding I was shooting, I jumped on the dance floor to bust a move and then realized I was the only one bustin’ it out there. ha! I love this shot a friend of mine snapped when I told her to hold my camera… it revealed to me the truth about what was going on. Johnna was alone. At the time, I didn’t even realize I was the only one out there. I was having fun. I was happy to be shooting the wedding, excited about all the great images I captured that day and hopeful for the future. All of these emotions, were mine alone. Did I acquire these alone? No. So many incredible people have contributed to where I am today as a photographer. My family and friends have been 100% supportive, and I’ve met so many amazing creatives in this industry that have seen something in me that I could barely see in myself. And what is wild… is most of the relationships I’ve established have been online. So many of you that I haven’t yet met, and so many that I have had the pleasure of making our virtual relation become in the flesh. Just yesterday I was delighted to meet my Social Media Strategist, Jordan Sullivan with Cliq, for the first time in the flesh in Murrels Inlet, South Carolina. We have been working together for two months now virtually -via email, skype, etc. and have formed a strong business relation, one that I’m very thankful for.  Sunny Bonnell from Motto Agency also was able to join us yesterday, another impacting relationship that has influenced my business greatly. (You can read more about how HERE.) And I have countless photographers that have supported me… Ashley Elwell, David Bickley, Matt Silk, Paula Player, Katie Trujillo, Michael Miller and Christine Pobke to name a few. I want to say Thank You to all of you. Even though I dance this dance alone as a photographer with a budding business, I am well supported by so many great people and am eternally grateful for your support as I push forward to the future…
