What a privilege I had to photograph some very special people! Cathy and her daughter Whitney along with adorable and very energetic little man Brock, her grandson. Cathy went to Ringling Art and Design College back in the late 70s with my mom! They were cool art buddies in Sarasota before I was born. Cathy continues to be a very talented artist today in many ways. One way is with her painting abilities… check out her site “Walls Come Alive.” She has another new product that is about to hit the market soon, which is very exciting… so you’ll have to keep your eye out. Cathy not only is a brilliant artist, she also has the dearest soul. After our shoot at the Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, Florida, Cathy shared with me something very special. She pulled out a package dated August 16, 1999 that I had mailed her! It was filled with a handful of 8×10 black & white images of my very first film photography work! Can you believe it? Cathy has held onto the beginnings of my photography journey, and she stated she’s kept it in her “inspiration box” all these years. I was deeply moved and touched to say the least… to see how far I’ve come… and I couldn’t have seen this without her. Thank you, Cathy, you are an inspiration and huge encouragement to my heart and future of my career! Bless you and your loved ones.
