Networking is a vital component to any business. It allows others in the industry to come up under one another and provide support in areas that no one else can. In a small business, where you yourself may be the only employee, it is very important to make relationships to continue the growth of not only your business but also to have your visions and goals continually impacted and have the opportunity to impact others. For me, networking is a source of life -like oxygen in veins that make the blood flow and heart pump. (Believe it or not, I’m an introvert. So networking really can be for all!) I am continually motivated and encouraged by the many incredible people in the photography industry, and I’m completely honored to be apart! Check out the list below of some amazing people I have met in my first three months of living in Florida.
I have come face-to-face with well over 25 different people in the wedding and/or photography industry in areas such as Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Miami and St. Petersburg. A few links to some of the cards you see below that I’ve gathered are… Cassie Leah Photography, The Naked Florist, Audrey Snow Photography, wedding planner Nicole Kaney, invitation designer Ceci New York, Casa Ybel Event Coordinator, Peter Acker Photographer, Sonja Garnitschnig Photography, Chi Photography, Jana with Floral Artistry, Ring Finger Studio, Jacquelyn Marie Photography, Atlas Party Rental, Kelly Turner Photography, Kismis Ink Photography, DeCarle Event Design, Little Flores Photography, Casey Brooke Photography, Urban House Print & Design, N-Grace Photography, Videography with Vision Studio 7, wedding planner Kelly McWilliams’, Black Tie Entertainment, Andy Martin Photography …and so many more! Thank you to each of you! I couldn’t have done it without you. Bring on the future!

  • That’s awesome, Johnna! As a fellow introvert, that is something I’m still struggling with lol.

  • Johnna…I totally agree…great post!!
Most of us Photographers hold up in our home office all of the time…by ourselves…and we rob ourselves of “cynergy created when connecting with other wedding professionals! I don’t know about you, but as much as in introvert as I am, when I connect with other wedding professionals, I always walk away with more energy and creativity than I could ever achieve on my own. Thanks for sharing!

  • Hallelujah! I love that we can enter a situation and say, I’m going to add more to this business/person and in the end you often benefit through friendship and a growing business! Keep up the good work! You are blessed! I love you and want the best for you!

  • i’d only make a business card to get free burritos at chipotle. 😛

  • Johnna I love it how you promote and honor others… you are just not in it for yourself! So proud of my daughter!

  • Thanks for the mention! Funny because I tweeted a photo that looked very similar of a giant pile of business cards a couple of weeks ago (but it wasn’t nearly as beautiful of a photo!)

    Let’s keep in touch.

  • Only a very clever photographer would take this picture – WELL DONE!

  • It was such a treat getting to meet you here in Fort Myers, and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to hang out! You’re a wonderful person and fabulous photographer….this blog post speaks volumes about your integrity 🙂
